Abstract

|
Stereotactic radiosurgery has been a safe method that can treat various intracranial tumors and vascular malformations with excellent outcome. However extracranial stereotactic radiosurgery has been limited by several difficulties in stereotactic localization of the extracranial lesions. We treated two cases of extracranial tumor using Novalis shaped beam radiosurgery unit without specific complications for follow up period. We think that stereotactic radiosurgrey may be a useful treatment option for extracranial lesions, paraspinal especially.
